About Baker’s Custom Baits

Baker’s Custom Baits is a small, angler-owned bait shop based in Decatur, Indiana, built around one goal: creating high-quality fishing baits that we trust on the water ourselves. We specialize in custom soft plastic lures and jigs designed for serious anglers who care about performance, durability, and consistency.

Every bait we make is produced by hand using quality components and proven techniques. Our hand-injected soft plastics and hand-tied jigs are carefully inspected and packaged to ensure they’re ready to fish right out of the bag. We don’t mass-produce—each lure gets the attention it deserves.

We offer a wide selection of custom fishing baits, including multiple styles, sizes, and color options to fit different fisheries and conditions. In addition to our standard lineup, we also provide a custom bait ordering service. Whether you’re trying to recreate a discontinued color, dial in a "secret" pattern, or design a completely custom lure you can’t find in mainstream tackle shops, we’ll build it to your specifications.
